Mobile Police @ Desa Setapak

The mobile police station has moved to the corner of the roundabout, adjacent to SSL pan mee shop. It used to be near the roundabout, opposite the TOTO shop. This is a better arrangement - and frees up more parking space for others to park.
Perhaps, the police can also do something about people who dont know how to park and double park. Find them, and fine them please!

Social Emergency - Who Do You Call?

If you hear of someone being abused or any social misdoings, who do you call? According to the signboard, 15999 - Talian Nur. Keep the number handy although you won't miss the giant signboard at the junction from Jalan Perusahaan to Selangor Pewter bypass. Who knows when it will be removed. Isn't it better when the signboards are imprinted on all the Projek Perumahan Rakyat (Public Housing Schemes) around the area which have the highest population density?

Forgers are at it again if news from the Star Metro is anything to go by. According to this news piece, traders in Desk Setapak have been hoodwinked into parting with their goods in exchanged with pieces of paper masquerading as RM notes.

Traders paid fake RM50 notes

IN the past two weeks, three hawker stalls and one newspaper vendor were cheated by customers who paid using forged notes at their shops in Desa Setapak, Kuala Lumpur.

The victims were paid the RM50 notes during peak business hours and they did not have the time to check.

The notes are made using half a RM50 note and the other half printed and pasted on paper.

More Wheels Stolen??

We have just been alerted to another case of stolen wheels. This comment came from an anonymous reader to our earlier posting on this. This writer wrote:

There were 2 reported cases of wheel theft at Jalan Seri Wangsa, the road leading to Villa Wangsamas, the new condo between Rampai Court & Carre4, off from main road Jln 34/26. The culprit came at night to steal the wheels from the cars parked outside the condo. Now, the condo security guard were also directed to round the area as well.

In case you do not know where Villa Wangsamas is, its near the junction that takes you to Setiawangsa, where the old TV3 academy used to be at the hilltop. This road is especially deserted at nights so we advise users who are walking or riding bikes to be extremely alert for strangers as well.

In the case of the missing wheels, I am starting a new classification category called Crime Alert. Please give your feedback if you know of crime in Wangsa Maju, not just Section 1-10but also the vicinity, including Taman Danau Kota, Gombak 3-5th Mile, Setapak Garden, etc. which are in P116 constituency.

Thank you.
