More Such Signs Should Be Set Up

Whoever set up this banner to advise visitors to KLSC in Wangsa Maju, he is really smart. I think we should have reminders such as this one all around Wangsa Maju, especially the car parks. They are useful to keep alert. AFter all, how many times have we left our handphones or PDAs on the dashboard without noticing it until we are quite far away?

Watering Hole With Army Theme

Army concept cafe - tried this one before?
Armchair army enthusiasts and servicemen, ex-servicemen too, take note. If you loved the rough life of the Armed Forces, you might want to check out an outlet named CT1Forze Cafe. We spotted the place while roaming behind the new row of shops in KLSC III.
We understand that it was operated by a retired major and the concept is probably the only one in Malaysia. The waiters told us that it was dedicated to members of the armed forces.
Check it out if you want to experience some army hospitality and good food.

Satisfied customers leave their autographs on the plaque outside the eatery.

An army vehicle parked outside the cafe adds to the army feel.

Is This The Way To Prepare Sushi?

Pay attention to the hands.
You like sushi? I do, too. As far as I know, you eat sushi raw. Whether it is fish or cucumber of even an octopus meat, a good sushi chef normally uses gloves to keep the food contamination-free, especially from dirt from under the fingernails. Unless it is prepared for own consumption, always use gloves.
I was amazed therefore when shopping at a newly opened supermarket in Wangsa Walk, I spotted this sushi chef preparing rolls without wearing gloves. Becaseu he doesn't look Japanese, I decided to blog about it. I had earlier wanted to buy some home but when I saw how he prepared the sushi, I decided to avoid it for good. At least not from this supermarket. My advice for you sushi lovers - watch the hands of the person preparing your sushi before you buy packed ones.

Aurora Borealis At Wangsa Maju

Spotted this orange flare from the skies along Hulu Kelang nearby Section 6. It appeared briefly, like the dancing northern lights, except that these are orange in colour. I suspect they are created as morning sunlight is reflected by the particles of the morning fog. For a brief moment, it was a breathtaking sight.Take at the look at the hills in the mornings when you are driving past and you might chance on them again.

And you think you are having a bad day?

Arrow points from a similar hole just less than 3 metres away.
I spotted this car beside the Affin Bank outlet at the newly opened office blocks opposite Pizza Hut near Carrefour in Wangsa Maju.
The driver must have been so busy trying to park the car and did not notice the 'lobang' in the roadside and one of the wheels got stuck in it.
No one was around when this picture was taken, so help could not be given. The hole is due to a missing drain cover by the road side, just like the one you see inset which is actually less than 3metres infront of where this car came to grief.
I am amazed how drain covers made of concrete can go missing if not for vandalism. Some naught persons must have driven a typically heavy vehicle over it and broke the concrete slab. Otherwise, why should someone steal it?
One question is nagging hard. How is it that the developer's maintenance office did not quickly replace the lost cover? Does he want to wait for someone to fall in and lose their life? Doesn't City Hall upkeep the place considering assessment is paid to DBKL?
