Is This The Way To Prepare Sushi?

Pay attention to the hands.

You like sushi? I do, too. As far as I know, you eat sushi raw. Whether it is fish or cucumber of even an octopus meat, a good sushi chef normally uses gloves to keep the food contamination-free, especially from dirt from under the fingernails. Unless it is prepared for own consumption, always use gloves.

I was amazed therefore when shopping at a newly opened supermarket in Wangsa Walk, I spotted this sushi chef preparing rolls without wearing gloves. Becaseu he doesn't look Japanese, I decided to blog about it. I had earlier wanted to buy some home but when I saw how he prepared the sushi, I decided to avoid it for good. At least not from this supermarket. My advice for you sushi lovers - watch the hands of the person preparing your sushi before you buy packed ones.

Section 4 Hill - What's Up There?

If you pass by Section 4 each evening and you see lots of people walking or running up a lane leading up the hill, and you wonder what they are up to, wonder no more. They are just doing so for health reasons and in the name of keeping fit.

I walked the same path recently and below are the photos of what I found up there.

A rubber tree, still being tapped?

A ficus tree - attracts black birds and cowells.

The journey up can make you pant if you are not fit.

What is at the end of the road? A fence and a gate which is locked. You can't go through because it's private property - owned by a telecommunication company.

Tadak Baca-kah? - Another ugly side of people frequenting Wangsa Maju

This shot was recently taken of an inconsiderate driver parking in a lot for the handicapped on top of Carrefour hypermarket. Just because the driver wants to get nearer to the entrance, the car was just driven into the blue lot reserved for the handicapped. If she was handicapped, then most certainly it was not displayed on her car as all should have been. How inconsiderate!

Head for the Hills For Health!

This lane leading up the Sect 4 hillock is very popular in the evenings and mornings.

If you have been to Section 4 in the evenings, you will see scores of people running up a lane beside the Telekom earth satellite station. Well, the lane leads up the the hill overlooking Section 2and Desa Setapak.

Those who run or walk up the hills in the mornings and evenings believe that it is good for health. Well, in a way, it is true because you simply cannot run or jog or walk or cycle along the roads in Wangsa Maju simply because of the volume of cars plying there these days. Even if the cars don't get you, the carbon monoxide in the long run will. If not, the Mat Rempits and snatch thieves might...
