Chinese Muslim Makan Place

If you are in Wangsa Maju area this Ramadan and wondering where you could go for some 'halal' Chinese food, try this shop. The signboard says it all, "Tanpa Was-Was". If memory serves me well, this used to be a fledgling seafood joint owned by a Chinese operator. It didnt do too well back then but today, it's a while different ball game. I wont say much - just go early!

This restaurant is located on the main thoroughfare in Taman Melawati opposite the huge car park and just at the corner's turn from Maybank.

Please Clear This Log Pile

There is a pile of cut tree trunks along one of the parallel roads along Genting kelang which have been left there for about 2 weeks. Somehow, the contractors have yet to remove them. I am wodnering why. Should children play around the log pile and it collapses on them, I won't want to imagine what would happen. Is the MP's office checking this? Please do get the contractors to remove them,

Chinese Tuition At This Place

I heard there is a good Mandarin teacher at this outlet. Although the outlet is popular with other subjects, if you want to learn Mandarin the traditional way, check this place out. The teacher who is in the 70s is a very experienced in the teaching of Chinese/Mandarin the traditional way.

Genting Kelang Trees - All Chopped Down

These are the sacualty of development. The brownish trunks of angsana trees piled on the shoulders of Jalan Genting Kelang awaiting to be collected. Will City Hall plant more trees? I hope for the sake of road users and nature lovers, they will spare more thought in trying to provide shade along this stretch. No point planting huge trees only to chop them few years down the line. Might as well have potted trees or bonsai. At least they can be moved without harming the trees.

Air Panas-Jalan Gurney Bypass Traffic Lights

There is now a traffic lights junction at the Jalan Gurney-Air Panas-Setapak Jaya bypass. It helps for a more orderly traffic. However, can someone please check to see if the traffic lights are all right, especially in the morning? The traffic queue from Air Panas is pretty long sometimes, and the kick-back can reach the Air Panas market.

Also, there is a traffic light pole with two sets of light pointing in the direction of Jalan Gurney bypass. Do you need a duplicate for a single way traffic?

Instant Trees

There you have it. Instant trees. This one is on the divider along the now widened Jalan Gombak. God knows what species is this or if it is planted for aesthetics or for shade. The base area is certainly too small for comfort and should the tree survive, dont you think the roots might surface and damage the road? Think about it.

Pets Not Allowed

See what happens when everyone tries to be a smart aleck and abandon the need to place more importance to learning English? Pets are barred from this outlet but it's okay, you can bring food from elsewhere. I am wondering how this restaurant owner will make his profits.
