Rice of All Types at Genting Kelang Market

If you are looking for organic rice, or brown rice, you can get them quite easily at Genting Kelang wet market. There is one chap who sells it at the wet market near some vegetable sellers. We wished we could take a good shot of him but apparently he is from the old school - despite reassurances to help himpromote his business, he didn't take it quite easily. In any case, here are some photos - excuse the quality, though.

Watering Hole With Army Theme

Army concept cafe - tried this one before?
Armchair army enthusiasts and servicemen, ex-servicemen too, take note. If you loved the rough life of the Armed Forces, you might want to check out an outlet named CT1Forze Cafe. We spotted the place while roaming behind the new row of shops in KLSC III.

We understand that it was operated by a retired major and the concept is probably the only one in Malaysia. The waiters told us that it was dedicated to members of the armed forces.

Check it out if you want to experience some army hospitality and good food.

Satisfied customers leave their autographs on the plaque outside the eatery.

An army vehicle parked outside the cafe adds to the army feel.

Mano's Banana Leaf Restaurant

If you crave banana leaf rice, no need to go to Sentul or Brickfields. Just go to Taman Seri Rampai, overlooking the lake, lies Mano's Mega Curry House, all orange and inviting. Open 24 hours, they serve banana leaf specialities. Anyone who has eaten there are most welcomed to share their views of the place.

Anyone Knows What This Is?

Construction work is going on at a feverish pace, but I doubt this building facing the Genting Kelang traffic lights is going to be ready for Chinese New Year. They say it is going to house a giant shopping complex. Which, we are not told. But truth be told, Genting Kelang folk and those using the stretch going home in the evenings better brace themselves should a sale happen when the complex is open. The two lane main road is definitely not able to take all that traffic overspill. We wonder if MP Wee Choo Keong is aware of the hardship this is going to cause - or if alternative routes have already been planned?

Who Switched Off Chong Hwa Traffic Lights?

Since the road widening and the building of the overheard bridge near Chong Hwa School in Jalan Gombak, someone switched off the traffic lights there. This stretch, which is quite dark at night, is highly dangerous and several times already, we have noted, that there were near misses. Cars speeding along the thoroughfare fail to see cars turning into Jalan Chong Hwa. Can City Hall be kind enough to put back the traffic lights so that no life is lost?

KLSC III Rakan Cop Beat Base - Copped Out

Sad, this one looks just like it was abandoned. We are taking about the KLSC III Pondok Rakan Cop. It was all hoarded up and no one seemed to know why the structure was there. The developer has fulfilled his promise but why no takers?

Graffiti@Wangsa Maju

If you pass by KLSCIII, into Wangsa Walk from Section 6, take a look left at a wall down the slopes. You will see this beautiful piece of street art. It changes weekly or so at the whim and fancy of the artists who have claimed this as their domain. It is a good thing to see such creativity but hope it does not extend to vandalism.
