Stupid Scavengers Stole These Drain Covers In Air Panas

Someone has replaced the covers with wooden ones. But these will rot under the weather. Let's hope these are replaced with concrete covers instead.

SOME stupid people have stolen the plastic-fibre grills along the walkway connecting Air Panas Girls School to the Air Panas bus stop beside the padang some weeks ago. These scavengers will sell their mothers if you show them how so let's not get angry with them.

Till today, since this is the second posting of the same problem, no one has yet replaced these wooden covers proper ones. What will it take for anyone to act?

ps: Can City Hall or YB Wee Choo Keong's Office get these holes properly covered before someone falls into the drain should the wooden planks rot?

Thank you!

AH1N1 - Swine Flu Now In Wangsa Maju

According to a posting from the YB Wee Choo Keong's blog, Mexican/Swine Flu or AH1N1 has been detected at a school in Wangsa Maju.

Reproduced here is his post:

H1N1 Flu detected in Wangsa Maju
About noon today I got word that a H1N1 Flu case had been detected in our constituency.

I personally checked the accuracy of the information received and the Wilayah Health Department had confirmed to me that it did detect one case involving a Form 4 student of Sekolah Menegah Kebangsaan Wangsa Maju in Section 1 2.

I was also told that this case was detected on 18 June and the whole class of students had since been placed under quarantine until 25 June.

Full posting can be read at Wee's blog

Hot, Hot! Check this scene out!

If you are around the Air Panas wet market, on Sundays, dont be alarmed if you see this scene. These fellas, usually men, are crowding around one corner of a coffee shop, highly engaged in some sort of interesting activity. They are actually checking out cheap DVDs, or VCDs, at the vendor's. The things you find at this wet market is remarkable!

It's Fine To Pay Your Parking Fines Late - and Get A Discount

Have you been fined for illegal parking in areas under the Ampang Municipal Council? Not yet paid your fines? Dont worry. You can pay during the period specified in the banner and get a discount.

Isn't this wonderful? Instead of penalising and getting at the debtors, the authority is giving discounts for late payments. Wonder how many people will pay next time and if they don't already, and how much more discounts, buy the way, will be given by MPAJ to persuade them to pay next!

Beware of This Hump When In Jusco

Be careful when you drive into the parking areas of Alpha Angle Jusco. These metallic hump can cause quite a nick on your tyres if they are not well inflated. When walking, you could kick into it and fall, too. These are not run of the mill humps with curved sides. they are flat and are traps to the unwary.

Who Stole These Drain Covers In Air Panas?

Thieves have stolen the plastic grills covering the drain along Jalan Air Cetek in Air Panas, beside the padang. It must be drug addicts or scrap collectors. SOme nice people have covered the drains with well made plank covers but it will only be a matter of time when these rot. Can we have some volunteers to create concrete ones instead and replace all the plastic ones? There is no value for concrete drain drills/cover so they will be safe for a while. To Air Panas school teachers and parents, please ask your children to be careful when using this stretch to get to the bus stop.

Aurora Borealis At Wangsa Maju

Spotted this orange flare from the skies along Hulu Kelang nearby Section 6. It appeared briefly, like the dancing northern lights, except that these are orange in colour. I suspect they are created as morning sunlight is reflected by the particles of the morning fog. For a brief moment, it was a breathtaking sight.Take at the look at the hills in the mornings when you are driving past and you might chance on them again.

Handicapped Unfriendly Buildings In Wangsa Maju

Took this picture at Jalan Genting Kelang, near the Pizza Hut. See what the poor old man who has been confined to his wheelchair had to go through just to visit one of the shops there? It is ridiculous how buildings can be made to be so handicapped unfriendly. Even the pavements are sometimes not wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair to pass.

Perhaps future plans for any commercial development in Wangsa Maju can take into consideration for the less fortunate? Might we hope for the MP to bring this up in Parliament?
