Platinum Walk - Another Happening Lepak Place?

This is currently the most developed area in Danau Kota. It is simply known as Platinum Walk, located on your left as you turn in from Jalan Genting Kelang.

You should not miss it if you are travelling by during the day. The bright ugly yellow facade is eye-catching enough, although certainly not a sight for sore eyes.

Several blocks consisting of three-storey shops have been opened amid cobblestoned walks. The shops are still empty but a modern Kopitiam has opened at one end. Others will follow suit, no doubt.

Pray that the mamak restaurants have not joined the race for place. Otherwise, you will have tables occupying parking lots in the evenings and Sunday mornings that you will be forced to park along the main roads.

Hope the developer will be wise not to let this happen as it did in Wangsa Maju Section 2 - of which most of the culprits are the hawker centres and a few mamak restaurants...

I cant believe this was once a disused mining pool. Look at how development had changed everything. Now the lake belongs to the residents of this new development rather than everyone like it used to. How sad!

for your info, the lake will be maintained and beautified as a recreation area according to YB Yew Teong Look.

Nothing sad, really. The lake has been beautified and early in the day, you can actually see people jogging around it. Of course, there are people who still believe there are fish in it and still cast their lines hopefully.

Hi there. I has been living here in Setapak Jaya for around 8 months now.
This is not my first time in Kl because I was the student of Kuala Lumpur Technical School in Cheras back in the year 1995 but the area in Setapak and Wangsa Maju is still new to me.
I never go to Danau Kota but maybe someday soon I'll be there.
my friends told me that they usually go to Uptown to buy cheap products and have some karaoke too.
